10 days of vacation...

So I have been working on the post from my last week of vacation...I had to narrow down 500+ pictures and 10 days of fun...so better late than never! Here you have it!

It was Dawn, Jeff, and the girls turn to come see visit us in Iowa. Here is a little recap of the fun things that we did while they were here....

Day 1-

They didn't arrive at my house from their 24 hour drive until 6pm. I invited the family over for supper at my house. We crammed 15 guests into my 2 bedroom apartment and had a nice evening.

Day 2-

We headed to Fort Madison for brunch with the Uliks.

Saturday evening we went to Captain Kirk's Margaritaville on the Mississippi.






We got hit by a hurricane while we were sitting river front but we made a great recovery.

Day 3-

Becca's Birthday!!! We helped her celebrate at Ryan's for breakfast.

After breakfast we went back to Bobby and Britt's for fun in the water. Bobby set up the pool and the slip and slide. The kids(big and little) had a blast!!




Sunday evening we had friends over for a cookout!!

Jeff grilled a buffet of things to eat!!

Day 4-

Went to Quincy, Illinois. We went to play and eat lunch at Going Bonkers



and visit Home Depot...






Then Bobby, Britt, Brennan, and Bree came to Mt Pleasant to go to the Pizza Ranch
for supper.

Day 5-

All the girls got haircuts! 5 cuts, 3 colors, and 2 waxes.



Day 6-

We went to the movies. The adults and Taylor saw My Sister's Keeper. CJ, Brennan, and Bree went to IceAge.

Day 7-

Taylor is known as Iowa in Rhode Island and apparently they think that everything that we do in Iowa revolves around corn. So we found some corn...




Bobby, Britt, Dawn, Jeff, and I went to Coralville and had Olive Garden for dinner. After dinner we went to the new casino in Riverside. I was the only one who left with more than I came with. I whopping $22.50!!

Day 8-

Fun City for water park day!!!

After Fun City we cleaned up and headed to Ft. Madison to cookout and then play putt putt...in the rain ofcourse!!




Day 9-

RAIN,RAIN,RAIN go away!! We had to find a way to have fun indoors so we went to Adventure Zone. The kids were able to play in the giant jungle gym. The adults played ping pong and video games. We wanted to ride the go carts but the ground was wet.




After Adventure Zone we went to Nauvoo to the Fudge Factory and tour Old Nauvoo. Mormon history but a neat place to check out.




Then off to West Burlington for fireworks!!




Day 10-

Is it really over...

Breakfast for Uncle Josh's birthday. Got to see Aunt Ruth.




After breakfast we went to Crapo Park to take pictures.








They rest of Sunday was spent treasuring time with Jeff, Dawn, and the girls before they left for home.

We had a fabulous 10 days and will be counting the days until we see them again!
